The interview process consists of written tasks, a short teaching task and a formal interview. You will be required to bring with you the original and a photocopy of your academic and personal identification documents.
Written Tasks – The English assessment will focus on the ability to communicate clearly in accurate written Standard English, while the Mathematics assessment will focus on the ability to calculate mathematical calculations, interpret data and graphs. The aim of the subject knowledge assessment is to demonstrate your knowledge of the subject you have applied to train to teach.
You will be briefed on the lesson objective and relevant student information beforehand, giving you plenty of time to prepare for your teaching task.
This will be followed by a panel interview where you will be questioned and asked to discuss your subject. You will also have the opportunity to ask questions about the training and placement schools.
